The context
When the landlord overcharges you or a store refuses a return, you ask your partner to speak for you. They do it easily, while you find confrontation difficult and fear saying the wrong thing. At first they helped with occasional situations; now you ask them to handle almost all these conversations.
Today you need to dispute an internet charge. Your partner gets home tired from work and says you should do it yourself this time. You could ask them to handle it again, try speaking despite your nerves, or ask them to stay with you while you make the complaint. You want to resolve the charge, but you also worry about continuing to depend on them for something you will need to do again.
A perspective to continue
Receiving help can bring you closer to someone. When does that help stop supporting you and start replacing something you could learn to do?

What your decision prioritizes
You want to resolve the charge quickly. Your partner might feel you did not hear the exhaustion they just described.
You practice something you find difficult and respect their rest. You may need more time or make a mistake explaining the complaint.
You receive support without leaving the entire task to them. You still need to check whether they have the time and willingness to help today.

Your partner tells you they left some of their own work unfinished to handle your previous two complaints. They did not tell you because they did not want you to feel bad.
