You lost your management role. You are offered a job without leading anyone. Would you accept?

The context

For five years you led a team and felt proud of your position. Two months ago, the company closed your department and you lost your job. You have sent applications, but have not yet received an offer for a similar role.

Today another company offers you a job as a team member, without leading it. The salary covers your expenses and the schedule would give you more time with your family. Even so, you fear your former colleagues will think you have failed. Your savings will last another three months. You can accept the offer, reject it to keep looking for a management role, or ask whether you can accept while continuing to apply for other jobs.
